Apologies for taking so long to post these up – but what an amazing meeting that was, full of great ideas. Great to see so many people at both the meeting and the picnic afterwards.

The meeting is at 2pm Wednesday.
Does anyone want to speak at it? Are there outstanding issues you feel need to be drawn to the attention of the planning committee?
The council have informed us that the planning application for converting Anston House into flats has been updated.
It looks like this update was made in the light of comments made by local residents and Dyke Road Drive Residents Association regarding the overlooking and loss of privacy caused by the windows and balconies at the rear of the building.
The new drawings feature “translucent window finish to prevent overlooking from upper windows” and “balconies with 1800mm privacy screens to inhibit overlooking”.
Please take a moment to look at the plans here and, if necessary, add your comments to the council site. You may comment here.
Two things:
One: Should Dyke Road Drive Residents Association make additional comments? Do these changes satisfy our concerns or not? If you’ve an opinion on that, please add it at the bottom of this page.
Two: Please remember, that if you do feel strongly about the plans, comments may be made by any individual affected. The planning committee receives a total of the number of individual complaints. Just because one person in household has commented, that doesn’t stop others from doing so.

As some of you know, there’s a new planning application been submitted from Anston House. Details are here.
What do people think about it?

If we’re going to be a residents’ association, we need a constitution. Dull but true. And we’re going to need a Chair, a Secretary and a Treasurer.
There are lots of DIY constitutions for residents associations online. If you’ve got a minute, take a look at the draft constitution below that Jane put together. We’ll need to vote on it on the 23rd.

A few of us met a few weeks ago and decided that a community website would be useful. Let us know what you’d like to see it used for.
